Blue tit, rabbit, wood pidgeon, blackbird, collared dove, robin, squirrel, 1 magpie (for sorrow), coal tit, starlings, robins, a dunnock, a chaffinch.

Wednesday Nature

A gang of blue tits, great tits, blackbirds, starlings, house sparrows, cabbage white butterfly, magpies, wood pidgeons, wood white butterfly, robin, rabbits, squirrel.

Tuesday Nature

House sparrows, a robin, great tits, a starling, blackbirds, wood pidgeons, a chaffinch, magpies, rabbits, orange tip butterfly, cabbage whites, mallard ducks & ducklings, swans, canada geese, moorhens, long-tailed tits.

Monday Nature

Starlings, blackbirds, crows, wood pidgeons, a robin, a chaffinch, great tits.

Sunday Nature

Moorhens and moorhen chicks (in the mill pond of a beautiful old water mill), cabbage white butterfly, wood pidgeons, blackbirds, starlings, rabbits, a fox, crows eating something furry, a badger.

Not counting specific 'Badger Watching' activities this was only the second time in my life I've seen a (live) badger out in the countryside. This one looked a bit scruffy and had an orange nose from rooting around in the red clay soil.

Saturday Nature

A blue tit, wood pidgeons, magpies, a bumblebee.

Friday Nature

Up until 4pm I had only seen a wood pidgeon.

Then I went on a walk and saw & heard...
Rabbits and baby rabbits, blackbirds singing boistrously, a chaffinch, great tits, long-tailed tits, bumblebees amongst the bluebells, a woodpecker pecking (but remained elusive so I don't know which species), mallard ducks, crows and I'm fairly confident there was a grasshopper warbler lurking in a tussuck of grass beside a hedge.

Thursday Nature

A grey squirrel in the oak tree, a chaffinch, several blackbirds, wood pidgeons, a gang of blue tits, great tits, spotted wood butterfly, cabbage white butterflies, a heron, a wren, sparrows, mallard ducks & ducklings, moorhens, canada geese, bumblebees & the bluebells approaching full bloom.

Wednesday Nature

A blackbird pulling up a worm on the lawn, a great tit, pidgeons, crows, one magpie (for sorrow!), a rabbit.

Tuesday Nature

A coot, a moorhen, canada geese, mallard ducks, a blackbird.

Monday Nature

On todays walk I saw...

Orange tip butterfly, speckled wood butterfly, cabbage white butterflies, peacock butterfly, green woodpecker, wood pidgeons, mallard ducks & ducklings, swans, canada geese, moorhens, rabbits, fox, bluebells, 13 magpies (what does that mean?) and I heard the call of a tawny owl (at 5pm!).
