Up until 4pm I had only seen a wood pidgeon.
Then I went on a walk and saw & heard...
Rabbits and baby rabbits, blackbirds singing boistrously, a chaffinch, great tits, long-tailed tits, bumblebees amongst the bluebells, a woodpecker pecking (but remained elusive so I don't know which species), mallard ducks, crows and I'm fairly confident there was a grasshopper warbler lurking in a tussuck of grass beside a hedge.
